Desert Wedding Tips

Hydration (make sure cool drinks are readily available and begin hydrating the day before!)

Comfortable shoes (if you must wear fancy shoes, consider changing into something that won’t leave your feet screaming in pain the next day…you will be on your feet for hours on your wedding day.

Shade (solid shade makes for the best photos. Avoid locations with speckled light from trees which is difficult to work with. Believe it or not, overcast days are the best for disused light and great photos!)

Sunset timing. Make sure you’ve planed for some romantic photos before sunset. Give yourself plenty of time as light changes every minute so set aside at least one hour before the sun is lost in the horizon.

Weather backups. If your wedding is planned during monsoon season, make sure the venue has umbrellas or an indoor location you and your guests can retreat to if the weather turns on you. Outdoor receptions are popular and umbrellas can make for aesthetically beautiful photos when it rains on wedding days….just have to have enough for the majority of attending guests!
